$20,000 is what Ford Maverick pricing will start from for the XL model, about $4,000 less than the Ranger. $23,200 for the Maverick LXT and $26,600 for the Maverick Lariat. Whichever model you choose, add about $750-1000 for the destination/delivery fee.

Expect these to be close to Ford's official numbers. Its just my best guess going off of the information currently out and the common price gap between trims. At best, $20,000 is VERY close. Ford did say it will be one of their most affordable vehicles.

TFL is reporting that the Maverick's starting price will be around $19,995 so on par with what you found @fordfan.

If this ends up being a $20,000 truck, the price advantage Ford will have over the competition will be significant.

Ford Ranger - $24,820
Chevy Colorado - $25,200
Toyota Tacoma - $26,250
GMC Canyon - $26,400
Nissan Frontier - $27,190
Honda Ridgeline - $36,490

I'm starting to think it will actually start from the upper $21k to lower $22k range. Why? When the EcoSport starts from $19,995, how likely is it that Ford will position a vehicle like the Maverick at its price point?

I think it's possible for sure. So they can capture a new segment for small pickups. Even at $21-22k starting price it's a great deal.

Given that the cost of raw materials has risen significantly in 2021, I would think the starting price will be closer to the mid-$20k. I mean the actual price that they will be available for on dealer lots. If there is a version available for $21k, I think it will have to be custom ordered from the factory. But, when you place a custom order you usually forgo any incentives the manufacture has as these are generally ** for dealer stock only **

The one loop-hole I've heard people using is if their company has an X-plan or other corporate negotiated employee discount plan, they can order a custom vehicle to their spec and still get the employee discount.

If I remember correctly there are ways you can get x plan pricing without your company having one. Like joining Mustang Club of America or owning 100 shares of Ford stock.

Since you mentioned it, I’ve never purchased a car out of state, what is shipping like? Southern California. What other details entail something like that? Thanks.

We recommend a service like Uship.com for shipping service. Or you can check with some local dealers Fleet manager if they do courtesy deliveries. If they do, you can order through me and we can have the vehicle drop shipped to that dealer. They will charge a fee for processing the delivery. Each dealer can choose what that fee is but it isn't usually too crazy.
