I talked to the manager at my dealership today. He said builds on 2023 hybrids are practically at a stand-still ,my word not his because of supply chain issues. I asked if 2023 buyers would get a 2024 if they are not done on time and he said they would have to. The guy said they have cars that are waiting six months or more for service because of lack of parts. My neighbor ordered a 2022 in November of 2021 and just got it last month. He got a 2023. I'm regretting my decision of saving $ and dumping my Fiesta too soon.

I did the same thing, sold my second vehicle which was my “hauling vehicle” a CRV Honda in anticipation of getting my 9-16-2022 order for a XLT Hybrid ! Haven’t received a build date yet, Ford customer service says it’s ready to be scheduled, but nothing ! 🥲

A bonafide smash hit since the second it launched, the Ford Maverick remains in short supply and high demand to this day, with many order holders waiting a significant amount of time to take delivery of their new compact pickup. With the 2023 model year well underway at this point, many will be looking to place an order for the coming model year, and now we know exactly when they’ll be able to do just that, as sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that 2024 Ford Maverick order banks are currently set to open in July.

More specifically, 2024 Ford Maverick order banks are scheduled to open up on July 17th, 2023. Production of the 2024 Maverick is also expected to begin at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico on October 16th, 2023, though as always, these dates are subject to change – particularly as automakers like Ford continue to navigate various global supply chain issues.

As Ford Authority reported last month, 2023 Maverick production is set to end at the Hermosillo plant in October as well, so these dates align with that piece of information – as well as the timeline for the 2022 model year. Meanwhile, Ford is working to ramp up production of its popular pickup over the coming months, and will add a third shift at the Hermosillo plant in July as well, hiring 1,100 new direct workers and 5,000 indirect employees to support that upcoming expansion.

Opening in July? Really? Like they opened last September. I ordered the first hour of the first day, a basic XLT, and it will not be built. I’m will not switch to a 24, and get wacked with a price increase. It will snow in Havana before another Ford darkens my driveway.

I ordered Dec 23 2021. Rolled over from a 2022 to a 2023. Still no build date. People who ordered well after me are getting build dates and there truck. What is going on.

Don’t believe the supply chain excuse. It is just an excuse for incompetence and utter contempt for customers.

I heard from a knowing source that they are building just enough hybrids to prop up the fleet mpg figures. They don’t want to make enough to meet demand. Just enough to put up a good face for the feds.

Then stop screwing with people and taking orders AND down payments.
