I just received a call from my dealer last week. I ordered the 4K tow package with front wheel drive. Ordered in June and just now was told I would have to order AWD if I wanted the bigger tow package. 2 months and now I've dropped down on the list I am guessing. Frustrated.

That was a very recent change by Ford. They are not saying why; guesses from the gallery include parts availability, poor handling characteristics, and/or not enough orders to justify tooling up.
