Yes. There is a button to disable it but it must be done every trip.
Well, ****. Is there a value to turn it off with a OBD tool? This is a major downside to me that might sway me more towards the Hyundai SC. My Chevy Cruze has it and it makes me so mad.Yes. There is a button to disable it but it must be done every trip.
Same here its so weird, my dads f150 does it and I think the motor is acting up every time. When I'm on my motorcycle and cars do it at stop lights its even worse.Well, ****. Interesting, I would never have thought about it… I’ve drove 2 different hybrids for a total of 12 years… never bothered me once when the engine shut off at the stop light… but then again, did love 35mpg…Well, ****. Well I am not looking at the hybrid. I am considering the 2.0T vs the Santa Cruz 2.5T. My Chevy Cruze has it and its pretty noticeable and makes it feel rough. On a hybrid with electric to take over I bet it isn't too bad.Interesting, I would never have thought about it… I’ve drove 2 different hybrids for a total of 12 years… never bothered me once when the engine shut off at the stop light… but then again, did love 35mpg…
The difference is that with a hybrid when the engine shuts off you still have electric motive power immediately at your disposal upon takeoff regardless of whether or how long the gas engine starts up. Secondly, with a hybrid you have an electric HVAC heat pump so that your AC doesn't go all warm and stale on you every time your engine shuts off.Interesting, I would never have thought about it… I’ve drove 2 different hybrids for a total of 12 years… never bothered me once when the engine shut off at the stop light… but then again, did love 35mpg…
I hate it in our Alfa Romeo. Hardly noticed it was there with our Eco-Sport (neither Eco nor Sport, though.) On my hybrids I wouldn't know sometimes if not for the indicator in the instrument cluster.I don’t care for it in our Audi, but have learned it can be defeated by how you modulate the brake pedal.
According to Ford both Hybrid and EgoBoost Mavericks will have auto start/stop (under Mechanical in spec/trim page).
2022 Ford Maverick Trim
If it really bugs you having to do it manually, and you don't want a Forscan (Ford software) solution, these folks (Ford Auto Start-Stop Disable | Autostop Eliminator) will probably offer one soon for around $100 for the Maverick. Personally I push the button to off after starting my F150
LOL, I almost did a "LIKE" to my own post...LOLMy wifes Buick has it...Another crappy GM Bright Idea like AFM.....
