AWD on the Maverick?

Does anyone know the specs on the AWD Maverick? I have found that it is a single clutch drive system??? The Bronco Sport has dual on the Badlands and First Ed. I would like to do some off roading when I move to NM. I have seen the Bronco Sport tackle Hell's, impressive. It was following the Big Bronco's. That is why I ordered a Big Bronco Sasqutach pk. But gas is going up, up, up. So that is one of the reasons I'm here. To get info. The only other SUV in this class is the Cherokee Trailhawk with it's transfer case and locking rear-end. I hope the rear end locks on the Maverick, like the Bronco Sport. Anyone know? Thanx Mav-Max

It is based on the awd escape and is biased to the front. It is only a single speed transfer case. My guess is the abilities are going to be limited.

You're not going to find a locking rear diff or 2-speed transfer case on the Maverick. These will be built for economy rather than off-road prowess. That being said, it would still be fun taking the Maverick onto trails it isn't supposed to go. This Corolla with Cheap Rims is Taking on a Mountain!
