Ford of Montebello in California has a $15,000 markup on one of the Mavericks on their lot. This is highest markup i've seen on a Maverick!
That is no surprise to me. I used to live in Whittier and when Saturn was closed down, I had to take my Saturn to a Chevrolet dealer since they were the only GM service available. Service was bad and price was high. Montebello area auto dealers were known to be high and not good service. This was like in 2010 time. I now live up in Washington.Ford of Montebello in California has a $15,000 markup on one of the Mavericks on their lot. This is highest markup i've seen on a Maverick!

Actually, California doesn't even make it into the top 10 of worst places to live. And people wonder why Cali is the worst place to "live" in America. When I talked to my DAD about college in the 70's, he told me he would help me out at any college I chose, except Cali
Yeah California has shitty politics and high prices, but to call it the worst place to live you are high. And people wonder why Cali is the worst place to "live" in America. When I talked to my DAD about college in the 70's, he told me he would help me out at any college I chose, except Cali
The dealer is just doing what the market will bear. If people would not accept such abusive sales tactics the dealers would not be able to do it. I'm not defending the dealers. They are immoral. But the people paying these markups are equally responsible.Villa Ford in Orange, CA today had 3 Mavericks in stock. All had a $15,000 markup right on the windshield. One was an xl gas which I tried to buy, $22,515 msrp, but with markup was $46,000. I asked to buy it without markup and they laughed, saying they will sell it with full markup. There was a Lariat hybrid someone traded in with only 1800 miles. It was priced at $46k.
