CB Radio Installation

I have a '22 Ecoboost 2k, I installed a Cobra 75 All Road in the right side storage compartment in the bed.; wiring it up was a snap, I cut a small hole in the side of the plastic box and ran the 12 volt power connection and antenna coax power through the hold. My big question, if anyone else had installed a CB in their Mav, are you have problems getting a good, low SWR?

Have you tried "tuning" the antenna's length to improve SWR?
How do you turn the knobs on a CB located in the storage compartment in the bed from the drivers seat???

The Cobra 75 All Road is controlled by a Bluetooth linked microphone in the cab, all of the controls are on the microphone, the microphone plugs into a USB port to power it.

Yes, many times. I'm thinking I have a bad ground plane/counterpoise or just not that great an antenna. Now looking at a Wilson 1000.

Not sure why anyone would put a cb in the bed.been around cb from the 60s . But if it works for you great. The space seems yery small and could be non water tight. Go for it. Send a picture I'm curious.
I just removed a tow strap and rope from the bottom of the storage cubby and they were both soaking wet.
I see that the Cobra 75 is waterproof IP66 rated so this may not be a problem.
I an considering installing a HAM radio and will probably install it being the rear seat.

Your SWR problem may be due to the antenna and or mount.

How and where is it mounted?
I think that it is really cool that they have incorporated bluetooth tech to eliminate what used to be a messy accessory back in the '70's
Take a close look at the coax connections to make sure there's no cat whisker ground strands shorting or maybe try just replacing it all together. How bad is the SWR?
