Not for EcoboostsYikes! It is supposed to be FULL SYNTHETIC!
I would especially use fully synthetic in any vehicle with a turbo. If you want it to last that is.Supposed to be?.....Mines turbo......
Says who?
I don't necessarily disagree, however the Motorcraft synthetic blend is ILSAC GF-6 rated. That rating pretty much came into existence because of Turbo DI engines and their "unique" issues, i.e. LSPI and soot buildup.I would especially use fully synthetic in any vehicle with a turbo. That is not the required FORD rating.I don't necessarily disagree, however the Motorcraft synthetic blend is ILSAC GF-6 rated. That rating pretty much came into existence because of Turbo DI engines and their "unique" issues, i.e. LSPI and soot buildup.
I don't care to waste my time looking into Ford's arbitrary oil requirement rating. Willing to bet WSS-M2C961-A1 is Ford's equivalent to ILSAC GF-6. That being said, the synthetic blend of the FORD BRANDED OIL we were discussing does indeed meet FORD'S requirement for the Ecoboost engine in the Maverick. That is not the required FORD rating.
My Harley 500 says to use a diesel rated oil! 🤪I don't care to waste my time looking into Ford's arbitrary oil requirement rating. Willing to bet WSS-M2C961-A1 is Ford's equivalent to ILSAC GF-6. Edit: Straight from the manual that nobody ever reads

I checked and they said out the door at $81. So getting the 3 free services instead of the 42,000 FordPass Reward points is the better value .I am bringing my vehicle in for the side airbag recall and, with 6k miles, will have the dealer do the first service too. How much did you pay for the first service? TIA.
