Parked out side in Florida at the house. Guess it is a weird thought though I wonder why no one created a half cover the trucks, one that just covers the front half and cab but not the bed.

Anyway, anyone pick up a ‘ok’ inexpensive cover for your Mav yet? Lots of pollen down this way so was thinking a cover might help, plus it is not a daily driver so could be parked for some days now and then. Not to mention, though will, it is bloody hot down in FL some months and figure a cover will help a bit saving the inside materials…then again the UV protection in the glass does most of that work I would think. Also, I am not one to wash vehicles often.

Heck, I went out this morning and with the cool mist from evening before still on the truck just wiped down the hood and roof with my hand to remove pollen that was on the truck from days before. Might as well make use of mother natures free water bath I figured.

Surprisingly it looked ok after though did use a small towel to try to get some of the remaining excess water off as well.
thanks

I have pretty wide vent visors, so I can keep window open pretty far, so if I go somewhere in the middle of the day unexpectedly, it is not super hot inside. If I am planning on going somewhere, I still open windows fully 1/2 hour before going to fully air out.

So a cover would not work in my case.

hum, I have not tried the remote auto start feature yet which seems to start the a/c; thinking if the a/c was used prior. have to unwrap the manual and read up on that feature :)

Sure, you can pre-A/C your vehicle which uses quite a bit of fuel, or just use vent visors to keep it relatively cool inside.

I just stick a screen reflector over the dash and park on driveway facing west. Never had problems on any vehicle in 20 years with interior materials. Cracking the windows a touch is good if you have the deflectors. I thonl covers are ok if you only use them infrequently , my friend used one on his Tacoma as he only used it once a week ,when he started using it everyday he started to lose the paint on the roof and hood. The dust will scratch it.
