COVP Approval Now Required By 6/02

Oooohhhh, this will turn out very badly for some people! I will guarantee that some dealers will not see, not understand, or simply ignore this note from Ford and their customers will lose out!

I hope that everyone with a current order calls their dealer and triple-checks their COVP status. Then call Ford Customer Relations to see what their system says.

Why would a dealer not have entered it into the COVP system?

Ford said it was optional before NOW - but why wouldn't dealers have done it anyway?
You tell a normal person there are two ways to do something to get something you want and one is preferred, what is a normal person going to do?
Is it just extreme laziness?, is it they aren’t making much money on these Mavericks?, what it it with these dealers?

June 2nd and when they start canceling the week of June 5 is going to be gut wrenching on here.
But then hey maybe I'll get my order sooner - you can't just rely on these dealers anymore like it was 1950. YOU have to do all the work and drag your dealer along kicking and screaming.

Sheer laziness or incompetence. You're right, there will be some very angry people soon who had put all their faith & trust in their dealers, who are putting all their efforts & attention to selling what's on their lots on that specific day.

For the new 23 orders, COVP was optional, as they didn't think they were going to have the same issues as the 22 orders. Whoops!
