I submitted my reservation on June 8th. Someone called that same day and let me know they would give me a call when I could come in and get started on my order.

Well June is almost over and I hadn’t heard anything from them so I called them and they said they weren’t doing orders till fall because they can’t do orders until they get the trucks themselves on the lot.
Which doesn’t make sense.
Am I just being a moron here or is there something I’m missing?
Anyways what should I do exactly?

This is probably the dealership not knowing they can order.

I had to tell my dealership that orders were open, and they said I was wrong. After I told them to go check, they came back and tried the "good news! we can turn your reservation into an order today" to play off having just said otherwise to me. Anyway, mine has been ordered. Not reserved, but ordered and confirmed over a week ago:

And I have the order sheet, to go with it, too:

The date on that is 6/15. When you get it, check the bottom for a line that says 'not submitted to order bank'. If that's present, they have a few buttons to click to finish sending the order. After that, future prints won't have that line on it at the bottom where they have you sign.

You could use this to show them others are getting orders in. Maybe that will help?

find another dealer to order through. I had to find a 3rd dealer before I found one that could order.

I put my reservation in with multiple dealers … only 1 reached put to order

I ended up contacting a different dealer about 20 mins away and he let me know I could come in monday to get started on my order.

I also had to contact several dealerships, going in Tuesday morning to order an XL, cabonized gray. Dealership is staying with msrp, before discounts. Only bad is $1000 deposit.

Thanks for that info. My dealership has taken my down payment of $500 and also given me the order sheet with the "Not Submitted to Order Bank" line.

I just texted my dealer rep pressing them to check as they have repeatedly told me that is as far as they can go for now. Hoping this will light a fire under their ass or else I'm looking elsewhere. I need that order tracking number!

My Dealer took my order with out a Down payment after I said I was going else where

Well this is becoming a hassle. Reserved one with my local dealer, they wanted a $500 non-refundable deposit, which I refused to do. Reserved one with a different dealer, got email from Ford but not heard from the dealer. At this point, think I will just wait till they have them on the lot. Nothing should be this irritating.

You should be good with the Ford email, I believe it confirms your dealer placed the order. Keep us posted
