Does Adaptive Cruise shut off upon brake press?

I ordered a Lariat with ACC and I'm just curious how it works. If you press the brake will that deactivate it like it does on normal CC? I'm assuming yes. Can anyone with experience using it verify? Thanks.

All of the ACC I've had worked that way. Then you can hit Resume to pick back up. My Fusion PEHV did not have the full stop/start ACC, but follow on vehicles XC60 and Pallisade do.

That's the way it worked on my wife's Fusion and Edge. ACC almost (almost) made me like cruise control.

I would use cruise control in my driveway if I could get away with it. It's my favorite feature. LOL

I bought my existing Focus specifically because it had cruise over another less equipped model. I wanted the Lariat specifically because it has the ACC option, and because I had a close call in December (i passed out for about 10 seconds while driving on a rural Colorado freeway with my wife and unborn child in the passenger seat, luckily nothing happened but that cemented the need for my next vehicle to have some more self-driving features than a basic Focus manual has).
