Some new media reports are saying July 2021 is when Maverick production will start.

"Ford is keeping details of the all-new Maverick pickup truck well under wraps, or trying to at least. According to Automotive News, the Maverick is set to go into production in July, much earlier than anticipated. This announcement doesn't come from Ford, but the next best thing. No mass-produced car on earth is built-in solitary confinement but rather in conjunction with hundreds of parts suppliers.

One of these suppliers seemingly talked, and the rumors now suggest that Maverick sales will start near the end of 2021. If these rumors are to be believed, the Maverick unveiling should be mere months away."

The first batch were for testing and promotions, including the two we saw in the launch videos and photos.

The latest batch might be further testing and for dealer training before these start showing up on lots. Some of these are probably heading to magazine and video car reviewers to get their thoughts to get the PR machine going. Pretty cool to see the production starting to fire up as we inch towards mass production

I'm curious if we'll get any reviewers driving the Maverick in the near future or if we'll have to wait until they're nearly delivered like the Bronco. (I suppose it's better than not even knowing what your already-in-production reserved vehicle will cost like the Santa Cruz)
