Ford is fooling thinking that they will be able to compete with the Lunds of the world. Dealers will not want to deal with ordering and stocking caps.

This tells me that Ford really wants to discourage people from putting anything on the cab or cap roof. That spoiler bump makes it hard to put a ladder or canoe on the roof without scratching the back of the cap.
Pair this with the idioticly placed roof mounted stubb antenna and I think Ford is working to discourage roof racks of any kind.

I like the way the bed cap aligns with the cab. That said, It may be a little more difficult to remove the antennae with this option when going thru the carwash. I also note that the cap windows have a dark tint. If the back glass of the cab has a darker tint also, rear visibility my be compromised. Are the lights at the top and back of the cab still useful for the bed? However, it looks absolutely great!

I want something like a tonneau cover but real sturdy so it can‘t be cut open w/ knife like happened yrs ago when flimsy tonneau covers first appeared. The tri fold tonneau is really heavy and cumbersome for a female to remove/apply.

Some vehicles have very low roof loading because of the sunroof. The shape just doesn't work well unless you go with tall racks, which hurt MPG

Saw a post/video somewhere where they said the rollup cover might be good. Seems when rolled up it only covers half the back glass where as the tri-fold cover, for example, might cover the entire rear glass window if tilted up to say put a lot of stuff in the bed and need to take it somewhere.

Have never seen a rollup cover before to begin with so will be interested in what it looks like. In the photo/video when rolled up it displayed the 'ford' logo (maybe Photoshopped). Though some color Mavrick movie tag line would be a neat thing to have placed there instead. Thinking 'need for speed' (if they said that) would be great for the hybrid model lol.

Though I would worry a roll-up cover, by design, would make a lot of noise when rolled up or maybe even when rolled down and would doubt it could stand much weight to allow one to stand on it.

If it was really light the bed cap could be a cool thing though figure would take at least two people to take it off...sadly.
