Good point....I like something to rest my right arm on... In fact, the padded console in my Ford F150 saved me when I was smacked hard in my door by a Sherman Williams Paint delivery truck going 30+ mph... It kept me firmly in my spot even with a seat belt on... everything else ended up on the passenger floorboard..
So yes I would like an armrest or console in the middle
