You should get an e-mail directly from Ford if they put in your order. Reserving doesn't even guarantee you a sale nor does the ordering process. It should let you get an step by step process of the vehicle.

How do you get your reservation number if you already orderd a truck
I already order a Ford Maverick and the dealer made me put a 100 dollars deposit how do I get a reservation number now the sales man said couldn't tell me how much it hasn't come in yet starting to get worried can I go to a different dealership

I put in my order and put down my deposit (2k here). I got a confirmation email from Ford but there was no reservation number? It just stated they would email any time my production status changed.
You don't need the number per say. The dealership which has done the paperwork to submit your order They may have entered a priority though. The main thing that will hold your order back is if you chose an option that will be late. All in all a reservation number doesn't guarantee anything.(if there was one) This is more about how the process is done.

I had to push and push. I finally changed dealerships and the order was processed within a couple of hours.I ordered mine still no email

Few minutes later internet sales rep zelled and went over everything with me. EZ-PZ.
