Haven’t seen much on it, but how does the hybrid do to warm up etc in very cold michigan winters? Assuming the engine gets things warmed first? Will be arriving in a month or so, wondering about next winter. Thanks

here in MI...got mine last October, the gas engine runs when starting up and provides the heating, you will notice a fair amount of condensation coming out of/off of the muffler especially on shorter trips, there's some 'smarts' involved with the heating process that I'm not very familiar with... I will say that the heater works and puts out more than sufficient heat but you will notice a drop in fuel economy especially on shorter trips...I went down from about 40mpg to 34 or so.

Hybrid cold startup sequence:
Turn key or push start button to initiate run mode.
Engine will immediately start and run for a few seconds to get oil circulating and then engine will load up by running generator to charge traction battery. Engine will warm up very quickly and start providing cabin or windshield defrost heat in a couple of minutes.

Pretty quickly. At -30 F it was warm enough to drive in a couple of minutes. I have the heated seats and steering wheel, so it's a comfortable drive in no time. You will definitely notice the MPG drop, though. Low to mid 30's at that temp.
