Infant car seats

Hi Everyone. What's the outlook on fitting infant seats in the rear of the Maverick? Any concern? I haven't really seen this discussed anywhere. Or for example, a Ranger which presumably has a larger second row, are there any issues there that would foreshadow a problem with the Maverick?

I'm on the cusp of placing my Maverick order, but this popped up and would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks

I'll be putting one in mine assuming I like it in general. In terms of dimensions, I'm losing about 3 inches of space for rear legroom coming from a Civic but otherwise I think it should be fine. Really depends on which side you're putting it on and how tall the people sitting up in front of them will be.
The bronco sport is pretty bad for infant car seats so the maverick might run into the same issues

Noticed that as well - saw this that breaks it down by the type of car seat:

Probably going to be a tight fit if at all. We just have one so hoping we can put it in the center at least.
Buy the maverick. They won't be infants for long

Here's what a car seat looks like in the back of the Maverick. These were posted in one of the facebook groups.

The rear seat in my son's Prius C is smaller than the Maverick's. He has a front facing seat behind the driver and a rear facing behind the passenger (both Gracos, I believe). It works somehow - so I know it's possible.

You could always put the rear facing car seat in the middle as well. That's what we do for my wife's Civic. Provides more space and is supposedly the safest spot to put it.

Thank you! We have 3 grandchildren. One is rear facing, one is front facing, and one is an almost 9 year old who is large all over for her age - like 98th percentile. Is there any chance all 3 of them could fit in that rear seat at the same time?

Great pics, these really help. How long ago did you place your inital order? Any other takeways from the Maverick dealing with kids. I'll have two rear-facing carseats

Those are my photos :) The booster fits better in the Maverick then it did in my 2017 Escape. The rear facing carseat is snug behind me at 5'6", but would have lots of space if I had it behind the passenger. I have it that way for school drop off line so it is what it is for now.

I have been wondering how tight it the rear seats would be with two car seats so this post has been very helpful. How tall is the driver? Just wondering if I will have issues as I am 6' tall. Thanks.

Looking at these photos, can you fit a booster seat in the middle? Between the two car seats?

Pretty sure you can't, unfortunately. We don't have our Maverick yet, but I've mentally measured the rear seat over and over, and I don't think they'll fit. We have 2 grandchildren in carseats and one who is a large sized kid in a booster, and I just don't think we'll be able to transport all of them at the same time. I hope I'm wrong.

Have you gotten your truck yet, and been able to test it with 3 children?
