I watched a YouTube video which said that the model they were in included navigation, so you didn't need to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. I checked all of the packages for the Maverick at ford.com, and didn't see any mention of a navigation system. Is navigation available for the Maverick?

I was surprised by this as well since it comes with Sync3, but confirmed it yesterday with my dealer. He said, "I just combed through the order guide and you are correct. With Apple Carplay and Android Auto being way better than built in navigation, it makes sense they removed the built-in nav."

I have built in navigation on my current car, and I'm looking forward to streaming Google maps on the Maverick. Built in is better than nothing, but it's never up to date, and features weird glitches that may send me through a housing development instead of just exiting onto the bypass. Plus, the cost of updating stand alone maps is ridiculous.

I think built in navigation is starting to disappear on new vehicles in favor of streaming services.

I agree - I have a 2020 Ram Promaster and it is the worst navigation you could imagine. The crappy Uconnect doesnt even have android auto available.

My android auto disconnects from my car fairly often. I hears it could be the cable or phone but I believe its the app. Alot of time I use the navigation in my kia niro and it works great. It sometimes gives yo different directions than Google maps but still gets you there in the same amount of time. I hope the android auto works in the maverick.
