I hate to actually say it but...

It’s already the end of April and we’ve not even heard a whisper from Ford about the existence of the Maverick. The window for it to be released as a my2022 is closing fast.

ALSO, with all the effort Ford is putting into the Bronco brand, you’d think that when they do release it, they might try to find a way to fold it into the Bronco “family” as a Bronco Sport Trac.

I asked a dealer friend of mine and he has also heard nothing. But we've all seen the production mules driving around and they look very close to finished.

I suspect Ford will almost just move this to dealers without much celebration. I could be wrong though...

If I had to guess I'm thinking it's going to be a 2023 vehicle. It also seems like Ford isn't going to do much of a buildup to the vehicle's release (unlike the Bronco) and just reveal it in one go.

My Asheville Ford salesman told me they were told to expect volume production in 2022. I'm not saying that's correct, only relaying the info. I'm hoping it's sooner myself, because my ancient Ranger is showing the miles.
2022 is what a lot of sources are saying as well
Ford sending out prototypes recently without camouflage is also another big sign of something solid this year.

I agree, but I thought the MY (model year) typically started 6 months ahead, so 2022's would normally start appearing on dealer lots mid-July. At this rate, I think we are hopeful that the factory will be humming in 2022 with Mavericks listed as 2023s.

Production will definitely start some time in Q3 of 2021. Meaning a 2022 Model. Definitely lower quantity for that first year. But that happens with every new car. (See Bronco Sport for similar time line and production numbers)

This is part of my order from this week. they make it sound like your satisfaction is their #1 priority.I hope it's not a excuse for longer wait times.
