Maverick Hybrid vs EV for co2 and fuel/charge comparison

Here are some very surprising facts comparing the Maverick Hybrid against an EV for CO2 emissions and Unleaded Gas versus Electric charging. The results show the Maverick Hybrid engine emits the same CO2 foot print as an EV in the USA with Electric generation at 61% fossil fuel. This is why renewable energy is a must for moving to EV for the future.

The second surprise is the fuel cost comparison Maverick Hybrid to EV if the charging is done mostly by remote chargers. My daughter purchased a Mini SE I compared to. The best rate to charge an EV is at home using Level2 Fast Charger Off Peak hours. The fuel cost savings is extremely high. BUT the Maverick Hybrid is equal to the EV or better if using remote charging stations. At least by the data I found.

This is why the Maverick Hybrid is in such demand. A very nice vehicle with a low operating cost and low CO2 output along with an affordable price tag. I hope mine gets built soon. Patiently waiting.

The spreadsheet image attached shows my research and the research sources. Read from top to bottom for grouped data. I hope you enjoy and feel free to correct the data if you have other sources. All comments welcome!

PS: Hey Ford, we need more Maverick Hybrids on the road!

Thanks for this information. We have both a Maverick Hybrid and a Mustang MachE, so very relevant for us. One thing that is different for us that dramatically reduces the cost and CO2 footprint of the MachE is the solar panels on our house. Essentially, my wife who drives the MachE is powered by "free", zero carbon sun. Now, of course, we had to buy the solar system, but thought I'd add this to your good analysis. Each state has a different percentage of renewable energy to fossil fuel, so of course it will vary, but 60% is a good average to work from IMO.
