I place my order today with my local dealership, but they did not give me my order confirmation. Should I just wait in my inbox, I'm so excited this is my first big girl investment and they already put add-on #s that I'm not familiar with. I ask what are those numbers for, he said it's just an estimate and we finalized when the Maverick gets here.

Have someone experienced with contracts or buying cars to look the contract over - be ready to back out.

Are you paying msrp?Above msrp? What are the additional c barges and fees? Are you financi with Ford? If so, the interest rate should be pretty low - depending on the term (ie. 1.8% for a 48 m term).

the community here is pretty knowledgeable if you want to share the details
The problem is they did not give me anything, I signed 2 order forms, one with an invoice and the other is an order form with all my add-on accessories. He said all those numbers are estimates. I guess I just have to wait until next week and see if they email me a copy. I will share it with the group to get some valuable opinions. I have already received 2 emails asking for my store experience.
I had this problem with my dealer, and called them to track everything down yesterday. Apparently they put the order in under my wife's name and her old address, and put my name and address on the dealer order. They advised me that Ford has pulled the order, but weren't able to give an ETA.

Apparently this has been a bit of a common thread. Make sure they have the right address on both your reservation and your order.

I just got an email from Ford that they received the order from the dealership but no confirmation #. I e-mailed the local dealership to give me a copy of the paperwork I signed but no response :(
I guess I just need to be patient and wait.
Keep emailing or calling the sales representative you placed your order with. I had to remind mine to do this a few times, but I understand they’re busy and rest assured Ford does have your order.
Simular situation. I am trying to help my 86 y.o. father in law order a Maverick. We did the online reservation thing on the Ford website. Immediately got a call from the dealership that we chose and was told they would need $1000 deposit to order and that they were charging $2000 on top of MSRP. I called another dealership who said they needed $100 deposit and no dealer markup.

My dealer gave me a piece of paper of the order details that I signed that had no markups on it, with a total, which matches Ford's estimate of MSRP plus all fees and packages, less the 'Aquisition' fee. The document does say 'This is not an invoice', however, I don't know how well it will hold up that I ordered a vehicle with an expected price, yet they decide to change it upon delivery. I might confirm with them next time I am on the phone or in store. Debating hard on whether to bump up to a loaded Lariat. I was shooting for a Limited SC, but Ford executed a few things better, and my local dealer told me last minute they are marking up SC's by $2500. Told them to pound sand. The Ford Dealer was great to work with and didn't even require a deposit. My only concern is whether not having a cash deposit on it makes it easier for them to just try to price me out of it when it gets here to sell it at a markup.
