I just found out that the splash guards will cause a delay as they are late availability. I am priority #10 so first in line. Can anyone tell me what kind of delay this may mean? Weeks or months?
I told the sales manager if he would guarantee the same cost I would remove them. He said he would not, but that if I get them after I would have to pay shipping plus installation! He mentioned I could buy them afterwards elsewhere. Would that be a good or bad idea to buy them and get them installed afterwards? How important are splash guards? I won't be on dirt a lot but wanted to protect the new truck. Maybe go skiing once a year.
Please advise. I'm a first-time truck buyer and first-time participant in any car forums. And a mom dealing with a difficult, frustrating sales manager. Thank you.

I heard Tim Bartz @ Long Arthur Ford in Salina, Kansas say in his videos to not order this type type of add on as it will slow down the delivery of new Mav. I even cancelled the spray bedliner as he said that can be done at dealer after ones Mav is delivered to dealer.

I removed mine because there was mention of when to expect them. They can be added afterwards for not much more

up to you but if it was me I would cancel. That is a easy aftermarket add on.

Your best bet would be to take them off and then use your Ford points to buy some when your truck is officially purchased.

From what I understand priority codes 10 & 19 are for the reservations/orders. The codes are on the build sheet from dealer.
They say a 10 will be built before a 19 and that the dealer can put 10 or 19 on the order. But 10’s and 19’s are basically first built. When it gets built also depends on late availability items. I have 2 on order. One has a 19 and one is a 80. Dealership told me both will be a 10 once orders are submitted and will let me know once a VIN is generated. That way you can track the progress, so they say.

I removed mine also due to delay. It should be no big deal to install later, just a few screws and you save the rediculous hourly charge for the install AND, get your vehicle on time without delay. If the drop in bed liner turns out to be another delay issue,, I will do the same with that also. The A/T tires is another issue altogether, not giving up my AWD. Have an email out to my dealer for clarification on that one. My order priority is 19 and I'm good with that just in case there are some hiccups being a new model and all.

Smart thing to do. Why would anyone hold up a order for mud flaps that are traditionally placed in the backseat of the vehicle to be installed at the dealership..

You should have gotten it when you went to your dealer to sign some preliminary paper work. It would look something like this.
