I'm planning to order a 2023 Maverick Hybrid XL as soon as orders open up. I love driving my 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 (it's a hot hatch with a stick shift!) but I don't love the 26.2 mpg or paying for the premium fuel. Previously I've owned a Toyota Camry Hybrid and a Ford CMax, which was also a hybrid. (I've heard there were non-hybrid versions of the CMax outside the US.)
I'm going to look for threads on options so I can decide between ordering a tonneau cover as an option or buying aftermarket, and also threads on how to lock in the price before delivery.

New sign up here! I currently drive a 4x4 Chevy Suburban about 35k miles a year. After hearing about the Maverick hybrid, I decided I needed one. It will do 90% of what I do with the suburban with 1/3 of the fuel. Got my reservation in at Planet Ford in Houston last week. Ordered a Velocity Blue XL with towing package, tonneau cover, and the console vault.

I’m stoked to get my truck and $120 tanks of gas don’t bother me nearly as much with the Maverick on the way.

Keeping the Suburban, I plan to lift it slightly and turn it into a bit of a ranch / world keeps going to crap vehicle.

Anyway, glad to be here. Excited about my Swiss Army knife truck!

The dealer is not being honest with you. Ford has stopped taking reservations for the 2022 Maverick Hybrid. They haven't announced pricing or opened the reservation bank for the 2023 Hybrid yet. So at best your dealer is making a promise that they will place a reservation for you when Ford starts taking them again. We expect that to happen on August 15, but it is subject to change.
Take a close look at the paperwork from your dealer. Did they promise you a specific price, take a deposit, give you a signed receipt for a purchase agreement? I think you're in trouble.

thanks for putting together this community! Gonna order a 2.0 AWD ‘23 XLT with the luxury package & hopefully a sunroof. If no roof…. I’ll cut in a sliding rag.
I’m an old mini trucker, having owned several Hardbodies, B2200’s & Toyota’s I’m excited to see this little Ford.
