Who else has had the pleasure? This is the 2nd warning. It came with an alarm tone. The first one is colored amber with a friendlier "suggestion" message. 😆🥱

How are you supposed to rest and drink coffee at the same time?

BTW: I watched a YouTube evaluation of an XL, and it was mentioned that it has "Lane Keeping Assist". But I can find it or how to turn on.
I had that happen to me a few days ago. Scared the hell out of me.

Now you know what to expect! :D My wife would totally freak out if it happened to her. She would probably pull over and wait 1/2 hour to calm down.

It seem to me to be very distracting. You are taken your eyes off the road to try and figure out what it is trying to tell witch is counter perducktive. They are making things worse. Don't get me wrong some things are good as blind spot notices. I'm glad I have the xl maverick none of that. I live in the country so it just needs to tell me where the dang dear are 🥴

Your XL DOES have the "collision avoidance" warning.

Is cool coming to the information
Yes, here and YouTube videos.

On mine, there’s a button on the end of the directional signal arm. When it’s on there is an indicator on the top left of the display screen.

Me…3-4 times when idiots cut in front of me
The collision warning flashes rapidly RED and beeps loud & rapidly. Probably kinda like a jet plane that is about to impact the ground!

Apparently NO "lane keeping assist" unless you have adaptive cruise control according to Manual. It says there is a button on the steering wheel to activate it. Yes, there’s a button on the end of the directional signal arm of our Transit van, for it, but not Maverick.

Well…on my XLT it’s on the directional arm, not the steering wheel.

Neither on the XL, at least not without adaptive cruise control.
My XLT is also on the turn sign arm like others have said. Not sure the feature is high value for me. I recall there's two options. One, you can set to 'nudge" you back and two, a tactical vibration in the steering wheel. I tried the nudge you back option and didn't like it's response. Presently set to give steering wheel vibration, which often doesn't feel much different than a course road feel. Oh there's a third item, a visual response. The IP icon turns red but you have to be looking at the instrument panel to be of value.

"Driver Attention Detection uses different types of information to detect drowsiness, including steering wheel movements and length of time driving. It will alert the driver to take a break via an alert on the dashboard and a sound." Apparently it thought you were ready to doze off... 🤷‍♀️

That is why it did that; to get your attention back to your driving! :geek:
I’m a truck driver.
our newer trucks are full of all kinds warnings and alerts.
We’re you in the middle of a long drive when that occurred ?
I got a little close to another car at a stoplight the other day in the maverick and a Collision assist warning came on.
I’m not sure if it did any kind of braking assist or anything as I was already on the brakes.

I accidentally set that off the other day.
to be honest, I was too close to the car in front of me at the stop light. It was my fault.

It should not come on when you slowly go close to a car in front. It calculates and warns based on your speed and distance for vehicle and determines if combination is safe or not.
