Order Submission

You should get an email confirmation from Ford when the dealer enters the order and then mine called me when they got the DORA and reviewed it with me to make sure everything was right. Then you should be set to go.

Sorry, what is the DORA you mentioned? Also, I'm just curious since I have already gotten the Confirmation email, why isn't the sales order NOT on the email? Before I left dealership, he hand-wrote order # on the purchase agreement.

I think the DORA is just the dealer's confirmation that the order is in the order bank. If you got the email you are set to go. One of the dealers here can probably tell you exactly what the DORA is and means.

You can always go into your account on ford.com, sign in, and go to reservations and orders. It should show the progress.

Some of us are not getting our orders showing up under R&O on the site. I checked with my dealer and they said all the info they used to submit was 100% identical to another order that does show up under R&O for me. I do have the confirmation email at least.

Yep.
DORA is an acronym for Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. After a dealer submits in WBDO, this goes out. This is what triggers the email to you, and the order number being assigned.

You can call Ford Marketing at 800-334-4375, give them your order code and dealership sales code and they can verify that they have your order at Ford.

Just wondering if you ordered the mud flaps, they will not be available latter than launch date. Ford says late availabilit.

I think it will show up once Ford processes the order. We have some dealer employees that we submitted orders on and they hadn't received the email yet and it's not showing in their account either.

I didn't get them on my order. I plan on getting those later. I often find them cheaper through other dealerships. I always recommend changing the dealership on the accessories.ford.com site to try different ones near you and see once they are available there. Some dealerships sell parts and accessories below SRP and you can sometimes save a lot that way.

They are on the order sheet that the dealer should provide to you.

The orders are being scrutinized because some Ford Dealers were using phony reservations to place orders that will be rejected on arrival at the dealership. The dealer now owns a desirable vehicle that they can add thousands to the MSRP and sell off the lot. They have been caught by Ford and now all orders require a drivers license photo copy and deposit with submission. Ford caught them doing the same shenanigans' with the Bronco.

And NO, I will not reveal my source at Ford. I like to keep my friends.

I had to do the DL thing..but no deposit and I did get a confirmation from Ford..That was on the 16th and no it's not showing on my account yet

As long as you have a email conformation from Ford with your build and all options, I wouldn't worry. I suppose they are swamped with orders that require humans to enter the information into their accounting system. Takes some time when you have 38 thousand reservations and 500 orders a day.

You are correct, when I say we have dealership employees ordering Maverick, they are for them personally, with a copy of buyers order and copy of DL pricing their intent to purchase upon arrival. My daughter is one who wants a small pickup to pull her pop-up camper. Plus the dealership employee is required to keep the vehicle for 6 months if they are using a d plan pin.

I didn't say anyone was guilty of a crime, just some shady business practices. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy a small pickup like the Maverick.to pull her pop-up.

The problem occurs when the truck comes in and the buyers that ordered from the dealership ( NOT FORD MOTOR COMPANY) because the general public can't order a vehicle directly from Ford and then they decide not to take delivery for whatever reason. With no deposit to loose, they walk and the dealer owns the truck and can charge any price they feel is fair to the dealership.

Nothing illegal, just shady if they have friends, family or employees ordering just to cancel out when the truck arrives.

Not that would ever happen 🤑

I ordered my Maverick Lariat Velocity Blue on 6/26 from a dealer and didn't get any acknowledgement from Ford. After 4 days I contacted Ford Marketing with the order code and sales code and she said the order is in the system. She doesn't have any scheduling so that's all she knows at this time ( at least the order is in}. I asked if I would get any updates from Ford or on Ford's website and she said no because the dealer made the order through the dealer and that I didn't generate the reservation or order with Ford. The dealer will be responsible to pass on information they get. She did say that when the dealer gets the generated vin then they can give that to me to check on a website for the progress. FYI for those without conformation emails.
