Question on this. I see the XLT Luxury packages says it comes with the spare tire.

When I select this option, it still enables me to select the spare tire as an option despite blocking me from doing so with the rest of the options that are already included in the XLT Luxury Package.

My dealer told me that tire is not actually included in the luxury package and that I would need to purchase as an add on option so I was confused by this.

Thanks for any information!

You must be looking at the Ecoboost Engine. The full size spare tire is included with the hybrid engine on the Luxury Packages. I got some clarification on this just tonight by another dealer on Facebook. So on the Ecoboost you will need to add the full size spare for $115.

Keyless Entry is using the remote to unlock, so need to use the key to start it. You are thinking about Push Button Start which is standard on Lariat.

I could be. But it also has remote start? Ford usually uses the same key fobs for their vehicles so I think it would be weird to include both of those and then deviate with a physical key.

Oh, yes remote start on the key fob. So a key fob with unlock, lock, remote start, panic, and flip key to start the truck. Ford calls their Keyless start, Push Button Start which would come with intelligent access to get in the truck. That is only available in the Lariat.

Bummer, I was definitely under the impression that a fob with remote start would mean it's a push start...seems odd to me.

Yeahhhh that's something that's just weird. Like so many fords use the similar keyfob with push button I feel like it would be just as cheap to stick with those

I think you gave me a shout-out on your latest video (Tommy from Mississippi). Thanks for that! :)

Sure, you were a big help. It's dealers like you and me that can help the Maverick community with questions. Glad you have a good Ford rep to reach out to, ours is very fresh in the business and isn't helping us out much. Could you ask your rep about the flooring material on the different terms?

I've an XL on order through a local dealer.
I watched FordVideoGuy's "Standard Equipment" video for the XL and learned some things I did not know.
Got to entertain myself somehow during the next few months' wait!

P.S. Also appreciate insights from people like TommyBoy.

Found out from the Maverick Brand Manager that all trims will have carpet flooring. He didn't mention Mats.

Just found this video with the best view of the ignition … it’s an odd decision but guess they had to make some compromises for the price
