Someone was saying in another thread that the Maverick is made in Mexico, so they didn't go through the shutdowns that US plants did. In order to get them shipped out on time they went with Sync 3 instead of 4 due to the chip shortages.

What’s the big differences between sync 3 and sync 4 . Since I don’t have a clue of what either is .
Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, plus it has alot more processing power. Cloud-Connected updates that happen when your vehicle is parked at your house. There's more, but that get's you started. ;-)

So, Sync 3 is old tech and Maverick owners are getting the short end of the stick? I was looking forward to going wireless and having seamless integration. Ugh.
SYNC 3 is solid, stable, and reliable. Maverick owners are not getting the short end of the stick.... We are getting a much less expensive truck with a very capable infotainment system. SYNC 4 has great promise. It is BRAND new- only a few Ford/Lincoln models are using it in 2021. But, it does have some growing pains to go through.
