But seriously, with the requirements you listed you may not have any options. I have the hard roll up cover and love it. Can transport a bike standing up, with the tailgate down. Good luck with your search.

The hard rollup cover on the Maverick has a strap to hold it open. The strap can be adjusted to different lengths. The picture below shows it at it's limit, but you can definitely replace the strap with a longer one to suit your needs. Photo #2 shows how the strap is attached to the truck.
