The Ford Escape hybrid has the same running gear as the Maverick hybrid, and etrailer (for example) has a towing base plate for this vehicle.
I suspect it will only be a matter of time until companies like etrailer get their hands on a hybrid Maverick, so they can develop a base plate.

I called Ford and all the mavericks will be able to have the tow assist hooks installed the same as what is an option of the maverick LARIAT

When you say tow hooks are you talking about the hooks that come with the FX4 package?

Here is my XLT hybrid which was used as a prototype for their production baseplate for towing four down behind a motorhome. You can see that the location of the connection points has nothing to do with the tow hook location.
