I picked up my 2022 Maverick Hybrid in November of 2022 and have drove it almost daily since. I really like this vehicle. My first episode of Deep Sleep happened in early February without warning. Overnight charging got it started with no issues. Dealer had it for a day. He replaced the battery claiming it was not 100% and not holding a charge. Service checked accessory modules for shut off and wiring to and from the battery. Problem solved until earlier this week, less than three weeks later, when truck decides to go back into Deep Sleep a day and change after a 600 mile trip. Charge overnight and take to dealer. Day later pick it up with no new findings by dealer as to why Deep Sleep is being initiated. Wondering if this will be a permanent cycle of uncertainty and reaching out to see if others with this recurring issue have isolated the source(s) of the problem through troubleshooting with a dealer or directly with Ford. On my end, to date I have never used remote features and always start manually using a key.

I'm gonna write a post about an observation I've had, but it may have impact on your problem. A couple of times now, I've parked my truck & locked the doors, only to notice that some of the electrical accessories remain on. Like the knobs in the heater/AC area or the screen itself stays on. I let it sit for a minute to see if they shut off; but they didn't. I ended up unlocking the doors, opening & shutting, then relocking. Good thing this happened at night or else I wouldn't have seen this issue. Maybe something stays on and just drains your battery?

I've got my ham radio plugged into the lighter outlet. It takes over an hour to shut off after ignition off. I saw a youtube on the F150 using Forscan to change the stay alive period from 1hr 15min to 60sec. I'm not on the learning curve for Forscan so don't know if possible for the Maverick

You should check to ensure you're not shorting yourself of amp power to drive your rig properly. While it may sound great receiving, you may be transmitting a degraded signal or unwanted noise. It's always best to wire directly to the battery, made super easy for hybrid owners as the battery is under the back seat.

Interesting. "Stay alive" period. Earlier post from CalCWORet mentioned seeing lights on accessories after he turned off and lock his vehicle. I would think if the ignition was shut off it would stop the flow of electricity. What's the value in electricity flowing to outlets and accessories unless the ignition is turned to accessory?

I just didn't like things staying on when they weren't supposed to. I didn't even think about the electricity burn.

2022 hybrid XLT. Deep sleep first time in December. Jump started ok. To dealer. Dealer says software update. No deep sleep until 3/13. Totally dead. No time to jump so dealer takes it to shop. Replaced a battery harness. Dealer says there was a bulletin. Pick vehicle up Friday. Deep sleep in driveway Saturday. Jump start and drive around for an hour. Park in driveway. Starts fine. Put my little trickle charger on it just to see. Charger says battery is low so I let it run for a while. Not much progress. So I lock the truck just to see. Charger needle jumps to “almost full”. Unlocked vehicle big battery drain? Will leave locked always. I usually do but not always. And I did not last night.

New Deep Sleep episode. Picked up truck from dealer on 3/15 after second episode in three weeks. Service department claims to have checked battery for ability to hold a charge and charged battery. Checked wiring harness and confirmed accessory modules were shutting off when vehicle shut off. Today, 3/19, went into Deep Sleep mode at 2:45 a.m. ( same exact time as episode 2). Put key in ignition and turned to "on" for 20 or so seconds to exit Deep Sleep...did not work. On charger for roughly 20 minutes. Opened door to vehicle and dash lights came on. Disconnected charger. Truck started right up and drover for 25 miles. Seems like battery was just below required charge level to start. Being winter I leave the heat on all the time and do not shut it off when I turn off the vehicle. Wondering if drain on battery has something to do with this accessory being left on when vehicle shut off. Dealer never mentioned anything to me during either service session about a bulletin / software upgrade from Ford on Deep Sleep.
