What are some of the things you don’t like on the Maverick .

I’m not liking the front grill . Here’s why , if you put the turn signal lights / blinkers right next to the led head lights , the brightness of the headlight will make it very hard to see the blinking at night . This is not a good thing on any vehicle built this way. I believe there should be a separation between them of at least 4 inches to possibly fix this issue .
Or can someone tell me, does the headlight go’s out when the blinker is on .

Not a fan of the headlights, they occupy too much real-estate on the front end and really accentuate how small the truck is, like in a bad way. Here’s what I’d do to remedy this:

Mines easy, this is a 2022 model, and LEDS are cheap. No excuse not to have LEDs all around IMO. It can't amount to more than $50 savings per vehicle to still use incandescent in tail lamps and what not.

I am wondering that too. Especially when the IIHS is pushing HARD for better brighter headlights on new cars. That’s why a vast majority of new Cars don’t get a 5 star rating because the base package headlights under perform.
Now that’s not to say they are bad. They are vastly better than 10 years ago but they could be even better.

anything is better than my headlights. Dear lord. I need to do an HID LED swap stat

All trims do have LED headlights as far as I know, so safety wise they get a pass, but the taillamps even on the highest trim it says are incandescent. Looks like blinkers still are too. Although it looks like at least on the Lariat you do get a upgraded LED center light w/ cargo lamps, LED highbeams instead of just low (am I reading that right), and some kind of LED DRL strip.

And the problem is that while it sounds super easy to just swap in your own LEDs, in reality its not so easy as most CANBUS go crazy when the resistance is off just a bit, and resistors often don't do the trick and you can end up with hyperflash or bulb out warnings.

well I want to swap in my 2000 Mercury. No fancy computer there. Just relays and wires.
just have to do some electrical math and do it right.

but I can understand no LED taillights standard. We in the construction business like not having led taillights so we can add strobes to them. Can do that with LED. You have to add separate lights.
I have a few...
  1. Can't be flat towed
  2. Uses SYNC 3 - not SYNC 4
  3. Strange hole next to 8" display
  4. 8" display - should by 12"
  5. No air vents on the back center console
  6. FIT slots are only in the back seat (Should also in the front and and bed)
  7. Can't get 1st edition in Hot Pepper Red :-(
Aside from that this truck is AWESOME and I can't wait!

Hence the reason for the hole, guaranteed that as part of their way to keep the Maverick fresh, they will start adding on things like fog lights, 12" screens which is easy to do. I don't mind it, as it means if I want to go aftermarket, there's more free real-estate there.

Perfect for a tuner, or one or two gauges (boost, wideband A/F), or maybe an auxiliary switch panel! Otherwise no idea why it's that way, other than that it would look goofier to have the screen positioned in the middle and flanked by two uselessly small cubby holes lol.

Or worse, do it FCA (or Stelantis whatever they call themselves now) style with bezels fatter than a Chicago style pizza!

Bed is too short. There is not enough room to carry skis in the winter. I would prefer an extened cab and 6' bed. If that was available now, I would be selling my Alltrack, placing order and surviving with one vehicle until it is availble.

Isn't that in relation to some sort of odd (4 wheel down" towing mode? Surely not normal driving.

I had recently seen someone complaining somewhere about Chevy Colorado being computer limited to 98 mph (I believe). This was because the factory tires are only rated that high, and lawsuits and such. His point was with people easily doing 80+ on the interstate, 98 mph could be in play when passing, and it would be very dangerous for the engine to cut off at that speed. Of course everybody jumped on him as an unsafe driver!

Anyway I sort of got his concern, but I think 98 MPH limiter is ok. 70, no!

I think and hope your right that the truck has a speed limiter for tow mode .
The adaptive cruise cover on the Lariat could be a lot more subtle. No fog light option, and the filler spot on the bumper appears to be molded in rather than a separate insert. Auto-dimming mirrors would be nice on the Luxury packs or Lariat. Also having the blindspot sensors means you lose spotter mirrors, but that's a general Ford thing.

I do like them but that’s probably cause I am old school (ie an old man) and reminds me of the older model F series.

The grille looks like a mid 2000s Chevy Colorado.
