What's your #1 complaint about your Maverick?

Can't see end of hood. I'm too short and got an XL so I can't raise the seat. When I park in a public lot, I never get close enough so the back end is not safe from clipping, especially when two cars are passing each other in the aisle.
The seat does raise. It pumps up manually. Check out owners manual on line or in your ford app. I had to lower mine Same lever

Btw check the vid for ranger xl. Same for both. Moving the seat fwd and back would defeat the purpose of the fwd and back lever between your legs. Don’t be a FKA unless u are one have read your posts before

I don’t know what seat you guys are sitting in !! Front bar is x axis forward and back. Side horizontal lever is y axis up and down. And side vertical lever accomplishes seat recline Look in the manual or online or on you tube vids In the XL. Basically how most cars have worked for many many years. Let’s stop the insanity Try to look like fu@%#in know it alls in a more technological area of car performance. It will serve you better

Love it, thanks for sharing! My Mav is coming in two weeks

My major complaint with the mav is just the round shifter. After driving for 44 years with a column mounted shifter ( with which I could find any gear with my eyes closed ) it still isn’t 2nd nature to find the small round circular console shifter and turn it too and fro… Console space can be used for better things and column is totally out of the way. Everything else I’m very satisfied with

It was designed that way, so mechanical soundness took it into consideration, therefore all is well.
I agree with okbow. The company doesn’t care about longevity of your vehicle . starter and all moving component wear significantly more under start In a lesser case if you need to make a quick move in an emergency situation you are compromised Not to mention it’s annoying. To each….. Mr Auf

Here are some small things I’d like to see ….Would like to see an illuminated USB port. Have a hard time seeing it at night to plug my phone in, an “oh shit” handle on the driver’s side, illuminated visor mirror on both sides, removable tray in center console to make it two level, no backseat alarm for not buckling up or easy to disable(groceries do not need to be buckled in) redesign door storage so it can be used for actual storage(winter gloves, umbrellla,) not just for water containers, make it so YouTube can play on the screen and then make the screen larger, doing away with that dead “storage” space.
Good call on all of those items !! I still don’t like the twisty knob shifter and its position would also like remote adjustable side view mirrors on all trim levels - old school is great but this throws back driving 40 years! I got lucky and snatched up one of the $ 19, 995 XLs So I can’t complain too much . it’s about 1/2 the price of any other good looking sought after vehicle

I got lucky because my order rolled over to a '23, so instead of getting a late year '22, I got one of the 1st '23s. Plus, the ONLY reason I ordered an XLT was for cruise control, so since '23 included it standard, I switch to ax XL '23, and saved the $2,250 extra for XLT badge.

Since I got the rollover credit, it brought my MSRP for my '23 to $19,640! :D
Same here with “private offer “ Add on the the “delivery Fee “ $ $1500 0hh it hurts my heart. Lol

Not really a complaint but as it’s getting colder here in RI my mpg are going down from 48 mpg to around 42 mp, anyone have the same issue, I’m still getting great mpg by most standards I’m just wondering.
Yes expect some significant mpg losses in cold weather. The ICE needs to run fairly consistently pum water to run the heater as in any other ice only vehicle- even when there is enough high voltage battery for driving . The AC is electric so in the warmer temps with ac running you don’t see much of a mpg loss as battery and braking supply most of your power needs especially around town the hybrid is totally counterintuitive to long standing mpg wisdom but the mpg are still pretty great !!

Has anyone had a problem with radio suddenly exploding in volume ? My truck is only 1.5 months old and 2x's we've had the stereo jump from 5 to 25 when we hit the brakes hard to avoid another driver. We have the proximity off so we're kinda at a loss. Will call dealer about it when we get back in town )
I have had several strange things happen with my radio and vid screen 5-6 times the volume has simply not been responsive. At other times the reverse camera has failed to come on other times the phone hookup goes in and out volume wise All incidents clear up if you turn off the system -or the vehicle -like unplugging your desk top or turning off/on your mobile phone Not ideal. Not the end of the world . Not what I paid for.

Constant Deep sleep mode everyday, so Parking mode on my Dash cam wont work…..
The sleep mode thing would freak me out. Going on vacay soon and will remotely start every day for battery sake. Generally used every day so havnt had problems yet. Love the lil truck but truly believe that they passed the point of diminishing returns on vehicles about 15 years ago now just more and more “stuff” that can fail. Next vehicle may be an old ford Vic with minimal accoutrements !!
