When Might We Get Hard Specs On The Maverick?

I was very much impressed with the unit-body shots that I saw, which showed to integrated frame rails going into the bed.

I'd like to know what kind of engines they're throwing into this thing; normally aspirated four cylinders are far more appealing than the dragon three cylinder - an interference engine with an internally mounted timing belt.

When might we get the hard specs on this thing?

As far as engines go it should be the same ones in the Bronco Sport since they share the same platform, which is the 2.0L EcoBoost four cylinder and the 1.5L turbo three-cylinder engine.

I've read some reports that say it will be revealed in the second half of this year which seems believable.

I hope we get enough all-electric range. The Escape PHEV gets 37 miles and I expect it drop a bit in the Maverick. For me, anything over 30 would be ideal and should be a reasonable target for Ford. What would you guys need on average?

can’t really compare the Escape PHEV…its a different animal…a plug -in so it will get lots of EV miles and Maverick cant compete with PHEV’s.
