I placed my order on September 7th for the most basic Maverick without any options at dealership in Chantilly, VA. As of now, other than the order email from Ford a few days later. I am wondering when I should expect the second email from Ford about potential build date.

Second question, I have been seen a lot of dealers have ridiculously high amount of markup on Maverick. What should I expect to pay at dealership once my $20k Maverick arrive?

I'm in a similar situation to you. I'm near Greensboro, NC and ordered an XL Hybrid with only one option, Co-Pilot 360, on September 14. All I've received since are two emails from Ford, one on September 14 confirming the order and then another on October 21 mentioning I will be receiving the Fits Kit as a thank you for the long wait. I ordered the truck from a local dealership here and put $2,000 deposit down on it. I received a piece of paper from them which details the Maverick XL I ordered, the price, taxes, dealer documentation and the deposit I provided.

I wish I could answer your question on "when" the vehicle will be buit and delivered, for both of us. There seems to be no logic in the order the trucks are built and delivered, as I've read of others who ordered later than I did and have already received their Maverick.

In terms of price, my expectation is I'm going to pay the price I agreed to at the dealership when I ordered the truck. After all, we're ordering the Mavericks through the dealership, not buying one off of the dealer's inventory. If the dealer tries to mark up a custom order for which they've already agreed on price, that's a serious problem.

I am in the same boat. I received a confirmation email from Ford on September 2 for a totally basic XL hybrid and another email October 21 about the Fits Kit as a thank you for waiting. I have not heard anything else. Perry Ford dealer in the San Diego area is my dealership. I am working with Andy May there. I talked with him initially and once a few weeks ago to check in. I have a good impression of him so far, seems like a straight shooter. He could not tell me much, but I was glad to have someone to touch base with that is down to earth. I am wondering if the XL without any options is one of the last selected to be produced. I like the interior of the XL and thought I might pick up some after market or dealer options possibly. I really want that Ford Entry Keyless Keypad that is not an option on the XL. Thanks for sharing.

I am in Canada and ordered a XLT hybrid July 7th 2021 - I am still waiting and was told yesterday it will be built April 2022 lol

Ordered XL Hybrid with no additions on 9/4/21 in Houston, TX. I call 1.800.334.4375 every "Maverick Thursday" to see if they have any information and I am always told I am in "order processing" status. Frustration is mounting because I wanted this vehicle for some road trips we are taking this Spring. As it stands now, I am hopeful to receive the vehicle by 9/4/2022.

My dealer made me sign an order sheet and I made sure I had a copy. There will be no markup added to my vehicle outside of the "destination fee" which I think is BS.

Also, lots of rumors running around about rebates offered by Ford to help compensate for delays.

I don't think this helps you other than to say misery loves company.

I ordered my hybrid June 28th. Just got 2nd notice of build date, March 21. I was within the first 30000 ordered, I'd say you will have a few mo ths wait for your production date. I was locked in at the dealer for a certain price, plus delivery fee and tax title and plate. Dealer should not be raising the original amount.

I ordered in January (final price was given to me in writing) and have an email saying my build week is March 21st. I heard that Ford is addressing the issue on dealers taking advantage of the demand - will post if I can find an article.

I ordered my Maverick June 26 2021 & have got 3 different build dates the last one was March 21 2022 so that will be about 9 mo. About the same time to make a baby. I ordered mine from Yadkin Valley Ford in N.Wilkesboro NC witch is NC oldest Ford Dealership

I noticed you mentioned "Maverick Thursday" . Does Ford updates Maverick order status on Thursdays?
Additionally, since you called every Thursday, do they have more updated information over the phone than receiving the email updates from Ford?

Thank you. I just called the number above posted by @TWMaverickTX about my order status. They didn't have any update. I then asked if dealers would be charging the markup, I was told they should not be charging more than MRSP. They asked if the dealership is charging more than the MRSP, I call back at the same number and report to them.
I am surprised and impressed that Ford is doing the right thing.

Carbonized Gray here. Never owned that color. Saw ONE! Glad I choose that. Looks good in the Florida sun!

I got the Area 51 as it was the most advertised color on Maverick when I placed the order.

It totally amazes me . That we live in a time where people care much more about the color of their new automobile . Then the build of the vehicle !
