I just got some news from a dealer friend of mine.
While it's exciting that the Maverick Hybrid models already built are finally getting shipped to their owners, there won't be any more Hybrid models coming for quite some time.
Recently Ford updated its ordering system and removed the possibility for dealers to even place an order for a Maverick Hybrid.
This same contact says he has deposits from customers that he can't actually order as a result.
Is this a shortage of hybrid components or chips related to the hybrid powertrain? It's not clear.
The same dealer says he doesn't expect Ford to open up Hybrid orders again until late Spring and potentially even early summer.
