I bought my 2024 Maverick XLT with an XLT package (Cactus Gray). It is a standard gasoline AWD with a 4000 LB. Tow package. I had the bug shield, vent shades and soft bed cover installed by a local aftermarket dealer. I installed the mud guards myself. I also installed a Home Link (KIA) mirror which I am thrilled with. At 6000 miles its be a perfect choice.
Since I have the Moon Roof, I connected the opener feed to the feed to the overhead reading lights and the compass /auto dimming feed to the switched lead for the sun roof. I’m thinking both could have been connected to the overhead reading light as I think the battery saver shuts this feed off shortly after you leave the vehicle.
The back up camera has been perfect for hooking up a trailer. I can accurately place the ball under the hitch. I haven’t towed on the road yet.
I noted one guy is forcing gas in his tank. I would think that the hybrid has a vapor purge canister and over filling could force gas into the canister causing a fault.
