I went through a carwash today, and when I put it in neutral as required, I got a dashboard WARNING saying that the EV battery severely degrades if left in neutral!

For some odd reason, I did not get message the last time I got it washed.

As a guess I think that is to say the gas engine can not run and charge the battery when in neutral and your battery was low on charge.

So maybe the difference was last time the battery was more charged and or there was less electric load on the truck.

When being towed there is a different procedural for leaving the truck off and ready to be towed.

See page 292 in the owners manual. RECREATIONALLY TOWING YOUR VEHICLE - HYBRID
ELECTRIC VEHICLE (HEV)

There is a setting on the instrument cluster display menu for towing. You need to change something there.

I don't have a hybrid so my menu is different.

The car wash wasn't getting either of our cars clean so cancelled membership, it only takes a few minutes more to wash the truck after cleaning the fenderwells and rocker panels, Wifey's is so low that the tireshine would be streaked down the sides of the rocker panels and she parks under trees so none of the tree sap comes off.

I regularly tow my hybrid Maverick behind my RV. I printed out the instructions, laminated them, and keep it under the rear seat. It's not complicated but I don't want to screw it up. ETrailer set the Maverick up for towning. (If you purchase the equipment from them, they install for free.) They recommended to me, and I went along with, a battery booster from my bus to the truck.

We live out of our Mav while camping but the truck kept going into "Deep Sleep mode" after opening the door a few times, how can I keep the head lights and tail lights from coming on? I turned the interior lights off to no avail, I'm building a wardrobe in the rear seat area as the seat is in the attic because we plan to be out camping all summer.
