For the most part the vibes are pretty positive when it comes to Maverick ownership on here. So for those who've owned their Mavericks for a while now and are enjoying it, what, if any, is your stand-out complaint about your truck? What one little or big would you change if you could?

interior and dash rattles.
the passenger door has sounded like it has loose parts in it since day one.

My major complaint with the mav is just the round shifter. After driving for 44 years with a column mounted shifter ( with which I could find any gear with my eyes closed ) it still isn’t 2nd nature to find the small round circular console shifter and turn it too and fro… Console space can be used for better things and column is totally out of the way. Everything else I’m very satisfied with

You still don’t get it. The auto manufacture provides specs to parts manufacturers, of which they need them to meet their criteria. They must supply pre-production (or production) units for testing. IF they pass stringent tests, they get RFQs (request for quote) from a few suppliers that did pass testing.

Yeah, I have the best tint sun shades for every window not just the front but when it’s 115° in Phoenix and you don’t have cooled seats in your car and you’ve had them in every other one for 10 years you notice it. They easily could’ve strung the hardware along with the heating hardware like almost every manufacturer does now. Pre cooling now key

No cooled seats. I’m in Arizona and it’s a pain especially with this last summer and all you people in the cold north places know that regular timed flatulence is perfect for heating your seats , but it doesn’t work for cooling them. What was FORD thinking….

Saving cost [/QUOTE] I wanted cool seats, I would pay more! Nope they said, I wanted GOS, nope they said. Now they’ll do it? I paid a lot for this fully loaded Maverick!

Your "annoyance" threshold if far too low! It is totally useful for SAVING FUEL. Must be really a case of being unable to teach an old dog a new trick. You should have gotten a hybrid. That is why I'm getting a tachometer, as my ICE turns on and off whilst going down the road, and I have no idea when it happens, and I'd like to see. Just once in a blue moon it turns on while at a red light, and I then notice it. :D

Cooled seats would be nice, but they don't offer them. Same as the Escape and Bronco Sport. Not offered, can't get it. So, why is it an issue?

No GPS? Didn't offer it all in 22. Most folks do GPS via their phone, so connect your phone using Carplay or Android Auto and use Apple Maps, Google Map or Waze. Now you can get it in 23 or 24 in the Lariat. So move up or just join the rest of us in the 21st century.

Hmmm…. Could it be that these are supposed to be low priced vehicles, and those things are expensive?
(FYI- I agree. Those things would be nice!)

Here are some small things I’d like to see ….Would like to see an illuminated USB port. Have a hard time seeing it at night to plug my phone in, an “oh shit” handle on the driver’s side, illuminated visor mirror on both sides, removable tray in center console to make it two level, no backseat alarm for not buckling up or easy to disable(groceries do not need to be buckled in) redesign door storage so it can be used for actual storage(winter gloves, umbrellla,) not just for water containers, make it so YouTube can play on the screen and then make the screen larger, doing away with that dead “storage” space.

Good call on all of those items !! I still don’t like the twisty knob shifter and its position would also like remote adjustable side view mirrors on all trim levels - old school is great but this throws back driving 40 years! I got lucky and snatched up one of the $ 19, 995 XLs So I can’t complain too much . it’s about 1/2 the price of any other good looking sought after vehicle

Yes expect some significant mpg losses in cold weather. The ICE needs to run fairly consistently pum water to run the heater as in any other ice only vehicle- even when there is enough high voltage battery for driving . The AC is electric so in the warmer temps with ac running you don’t see much of a mpg loss as battery and braking supply most of your power needs especially around town the hybrid is totally counterintuitive to long standing mpg wisdom but the mpg are still pretty great !!

I understand Robert C's opinion. Why is Ford delivering orders from July '23 ahead of identical orders that were placed in Sept '22? Allocations might be the official reason but I suspect it is really because the July '23 orders are more profitable for Ford and dealers want stock vehicles to put on the showroom floor. If a few special order customers from 2021 or 2022 get tired of waiting and walk away, more profit for dealers! The Maverick is a great design. Ford customer service is not great.
