Has anyone had a problem with radio suddenly exploding in volume ? My truck is only 1.5 months old and 2x's we've had the stereo jump from 5 to 25 when we hit the brakes hard to avoid another driver. We have the proximity off so we're kinda at a loss. Will call dealer about it when we get back in town )

 

I have had several strange things happen with my radio and vid screen 5-6 times the volume has simply not been responsive. At other times the reverse camera has failed to come on other times the phone hookup goes in and out volume wise All incidents clear up if you turn off the system -or the vehicle -like unplugging your desk top or turning off/on your mobile phone Not ideal. Not the end of the world . Not what I paid for.

 

That, after 15 months of waiting, it has been sitting in a rail car in Saint Louis for 2 weeks now.

 

The screen locks up while streaming music from the cell phone, turn off the phone and it goes back to "Normal" haven't had problems with dead battery since I took Ford Pass off phone, though the third brake light on the ARE Cap will stay on indefinitely after being in the rain for a day. Quirky little truck for sure, haven't had one with this many bells and whistles.

 

Constant Deep sleep mode everyday, so Parking mode on my Dash cam wont work…..

 

The sleep mode thing would freak me out. Going on vacay soon and will remotely start every day for battery sake. Generally used every day so havnt had problems yet. Love the lil truck but truly believe that they passed the point of diminishing returns on vehicles about 15 years ago now just more and more “stuff” that can fail. Next vehicle may be an old ford Vic with minimal accoutrements !!

 

I worked out over 90% of the interior rattling myself it's fairly quiet now, but now I hear all the rattling from underneath the car and suspension, I know the suspension wasn't going to be that quiet but I didn't expect it to sound like it is falling apart, besides the normal suspension noise there is something banging only in the morning the it goes away after a couple of miles driven.

 

My biggest complaint. No rear window de over/digger even at the lariat level

No power mirrors on my XL...fixing that though. Ordered a 24 Lariat!

 

My brakes are very grabby any time you need to brake in quick slow down even in eco mode

 

Yes, especially when raining!!!!

 

It’s a twenty thousand dollar truck what do you expect, if it had everything people complain about it would be a thirty thousand dollar truck, if you have one count your blessings.

 

I get that but one would expect the minimal options to function properly.

 

Mine was $34K Lariat Lux with no mark up.

 

Mine was that and then some! I do realize what other smaller size trucks go for, but $36k is not chump change for me! I really do love it though!!

 

I know the Maverick only costs half what a F 150 or Ranger costs, but they really need to improve the quality of the interior. A Civic is cheaper than an Accord, but the quality is the same. That is a lesson Ford needs to learn. I had a 2022 Maverick, and the dash made a sound like a ping pong ball was rolling around inside of it. It drove me nuts, and I traded it in after a year on a new Santa Cruz. The SC feels so much more solid, the interior is rattle free, and it just feels and rides and the 4wd performs so much more like a truck than the Maverick did.

 

My son has a SC but is selling it for a Mav Hybrid. He is not a fan of the road noise and hates the mileage.
Its good that we all have different tastes.

 

I have a 24 and it is great fit and finish is outstanding.
I'll go with the Ford every time. Had lots of Rangers (1990 to 2012) back in the day and this is much nicer and rides better.

 

'23 XLT Ecoboost w/FX4 & Tow pckg. Overall really like and think it's a great little vehicle. My biggest gripe with it is the poor connectivity for Android phones. My '20 Jeep Wrangler works seamlessly so seems like a newer vehicle should be at least as good.

 

I have a 2024 Mav Lariat Hybrid, just bought in June. Its failed on me twice, "Accessory mode locked"..Stop when safe. (I was already stopped!). I love the Mav, but will give it up if it continues to be unreliable. Its in the shop now, and has been most of its first two week life. The dealer says they are replacing the hybrid battery. Ford Corporate asked me if I wanted Ford to buy it back. I told them I will wait and see, but am leaning to sell it back to ford.

 

Give it back and buy a new one, sans problems. Zero issues with my 24 Lariat, 7 months in.

 

Had recalls done at Ford dealership only to have truck lose power after having recall done for that very problem. Now they tell me I need a new engine,long block, replacement,but will take a month to get to dealership. They are supplying a rental,a Chevy, but this problem has been known since 22s first came out.

Seems I'm having a hesitation issue with mine

 

Does not have a CD player, miss it.

 

That it doesn’t have 12” of wheel travel, 2 1/2” reservoir shocks and 33” tires as an option.

 

That my 2022 EcoBoost Lariat is already 2 years old. 😢

 

I have the hybrid and the problem was loss of power. Could only manage about 10mph going uphill.

 

Parts and service,,Part Manager never ordered a taillight and service is always short handed.

 

I've only ran my Maverick through two carwashes. Both times my golf equipment got wet. I have the factory hard rollup tonneau cover. There is no weatherstripping around the tailgate. Shouldn't there be weatherstripping around it?

 

I have never heard of any manufacturer guaranteeing that any of their bed covers will not leak. It was a car wash. That's almost a certain leak maker.

For the most part the vibes are pretty positive when it comes to Maverick ownership on here. So for those who've owned their Mavericks for a while now and are enjoying it, what, if any, is your stand-out complaint about your truck? What one little or big would you change if you could?

What I hate is the 6.50% interest charge/finance charges, other then that, I love my maverick it keeps impressing me on a daily basis.oh I forgot to say I have 35,000 trouble FREE miles on purchase in February 22/2023.

 

2024 xlt hybrid. 1900miles so far. 2 minor complaints: the switch for the rear of cab exterior light doesn’t indicate when off/on. The interior rear view mirror could be a little larger vertically. That’s it for now. Otherwise, really dig this truck!
