No drivers side handle. I use the windshield post but I imagine the paint will wear out there sooner or later. Maybe I’ll take the headliner out and try to rig something up.

Can't see end of hood. I'm too short and got an XL so I can't raise the seat. When I park in a public lot, I never get close enough so the back end is not safe from clipping, especially when two cars are passing each other in the aisle.

Interior rattles drive me crazy. I’m at 923 miles and the dash rattles regularly and if someone sits in the passenger seat something over there consistently rattles. Speakers rattle if you turn the volume up past 15. It’s a cheap vehicle, but not really. My xlt luxury cost over $30k msrp! Quality control and maybe better execution of a mostly plastic interior to minimize rattles. Really my only complaint so far.

My 2022 has had a rattle in the dash near the windshield since I bought it. The dealer wanted me to leave it with them for a few days so they could look for it. Not worth the hassle to do that so I just ignore it when it happens.

Paint is very thin. I already have small stone chips on front fenders. Thankfully I bought a paint marker from ford which covers up the marks. The ceramic coating I put on helps also.

That's why I bought the dealer applied protection coating that's supposed to warranty the paint and interior for 7 years, cheaper than aftermarket ceramic coating.

They turn off shortly after you start driving, if you have any patience.

Seatbelt extender eliminates the chime, it registers as a belt to the computer and they're free, all you have to do is ask parts dept for them.

I tried disconnecting the rear seat belts and the computer went crazy, they're now neatly rolled up and ziptied under the storage compartment I built or squirreled where the middle retractor was bolted. I hate computers, AI, Hip Hop and repairing the camper.

Brakes grabbing? I coast to red lights, stop signs, and to turn, and when I need to brake a little, I do at almost always 100% regeneration or close to it, so not once have I had brake grabbing.

Mainly that there is no grab bar above driver’s door. Then there is having to select ECO mode every trip! 😧

For the price of the Maverick, the interior is fine. My 2015 Prius stock interior with the middle "flying buttress" is really annoying and takes up a lot of unnecessary room. Seats were the boring soft grey. Maverick at least has colored stitching in the seats.

I do not mind the overly plastic interior, however, it scratches way, way too easy. And really, there is no reason for that; designers choose a molded "pattern" that has "sharp edges" rather than a more rounded, pebble style finish. I understand they did not want to do a fake leather pattern, but I'm surprised no one did any testing with the pattern they did choose for durability. Again, I don't care if the door panels or dash are hard plastic (rather than soft touch materials) but it should not scratch and mark up so easily.

After 10 mos. and 7,000 miles, I have no scratches.
